Initially certain industrial segments started well but due to lack of sufficient affordable technical manpower and absence of innovative up gradation in technologies the industries of the country lagged behind as compared to other countries like America , Japan etc.

To address this issue of Technical Manpower shortage and to usher into a new era of Industrial Development comparable to International standards, the SIMAT was constituted in the year 1996.The institute was entrusted with the responsibilities of developing the new generation of technical manpower that can spearhead the industrial development of the country. SIMAT has been formed to be the grooming ground for the future Engineers, Software Developers, Managers and Researchers.

With the liberalization of the Indian Economy and the entry of the multinational companies (MNCs) in the Indian business scene, the scope of the use of computers in all life of fields of life has grown manifold. The demand of qualified computer professionals are amongst the highest paid people in the industry today and their scope and demand is growing day by day.

The institution is committed to prepare its students to work, acquire skills and enlarge their capacities that equip them adequately to live in rapidly changing global environment. We are committed to higher standards of teaching and practical knowledge to the students.
