1. The Vice President of India is the visitor of the University .
2. The General Council of the University, which is its Apex Body, comprises, amongst others of the following :

• A member of the Lok Sabha, nominated by the Speaker of Lok Sabha
• A member of the Rajya Sabha, nominated by the Chairperson of Rajya Sabha
• Chairman of the Press Council of India
• Ten members representing different states of the country, five of whom are nominated by the Chief Ministers of representative states. The remaining five are representatives of five Indian language press
• Three members representing three All India professional bodies
• Five professionals from various parts of country

  3        .The Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh is the ex-officio Chairman of the General Council.

The University aims at developing excellent professionals with social commitment.

The University imparts education through :

1. Its Teaching Departments at Bhopal.

2. Its Campus at Noida and at Khandwa.

The relationship between the University and its Study Institutes comes closer to, and can be best described as, that existing between a conventional University and its affiliated colleges.

Curricula for the courses of the University are designed and regularly updated jointly by eminent academicians and professionals on the basis of latest trends and demands of the industry.

 About Uttar Pradesh Rajarshi Tandon Open University Allahabad

U.P. Rajarshi Tandon Open University, Allahabad was established under Uttar Pradesh Rajarshi Tandon Open University Act 1999, Uttar Pradesh (Act No. 10, 1999). The University was established as an Open University to run its Distance Learning Programmes in the state territory of Uttar Pradesh. This is first in the state and tenth all over India as Open University. 

All Degrees, Diplomas and Certificates are recognized by all universities, establishments and organizations in the country as well as in abroad. The courses of the University is recognized by the university Grants Commission (UGC), Distance Education Council 9DEC), Association of Indian Universities (AIU) and Association of Commonwealth Universities (ACU). 

Concept of Open University : At least 11 Open Universities and 65 Distance Education Directorates are running all over the country. Approximately 20% or about 20 lac students are studying through Open Universities. Open Education Programme is helpful for service class people, house wives, social servants, business persons, persons living in remote villages and even for persons posted on higher offices. 

The curriculum for the courses is made for general student. There is no age limit for admission. The curriculum is made for self study pattern. High quality study package (study materials) are provided to the students. Any student pursuing courses from any other university can join any diploma course of this University. No migration or NOC is required. 

SIMAT is associated as Affiliated Study Centre of UP Rajarshi Tandon Open University since July 2006. various Computer courses are held at this study centre of the University to enhance the Computer Education to the masses.

 About DOEACC COURSES

SIMAT is Accredited Centre for DOEACC “O” Level and “A” Level Courses (Accreditation No. O-1408) and applied for “A” Level accreditation. 

DOEACC is an autonomous organization under the Department of Electronics (Ministry of Information and Technology), Govt. of India. The prime objective of the DOEACC Society is to bring the most updated global industry relevant computer education within the reach of more & more.
